La TUF
Microbrewery and friendly local bar in Cotignac
La TUF immerses its customers in the heart of the production of quality beer with local flavors. Within just a few years, this establishment has become an essential spot for beer lovers looking for a richly alternative and fun meeting place, thanks to its programme of live music concerts and festive events. Our beautiful leafy garden terrace is popular during the hot and sunny days, while for the rest of the year, everyone takes refuge within the building on the huge mezzanine floor and its comfy lounge: antique furniture, comfy sofas, graffiti on the walls, table football, darts, an arcade machine and board games.
A creative microbrewery
Independent microbrewery and craft beer pub, La TUF experiments with new recipes and brews beers using local seasonal flavours. Cotignac beer comes in eight classic recipes (Blonde, IPA, Triple, etc.) and stands out thanks to the regional’s fine flavours and our brewer’s great creativity. He considers every ingredient and dismisses nothing, especially the idea of drawing on the seasons to craft limited series of beer with quince, lemon, verbena, mimosa, fig, and more.
With bottles to take away or pints to enjoy on site, the beers are accompanied by snack plates and other foods prepared on site for special evenings, such as pizzas or even tacos.
All year round, La TUF brings Cotignac to life with its programme of live music concerts, music quizzes, karaoke evenings, and other events of all kinds.
Upstairs is a large convivial space with comfortable sofas, a wood stove and walls designed and graffitied by our patrons themselves – and anyone who wants to immortalise their visit.
Stéphane and his team welcome you into the relaxed and fun atmosphere of this essential spot for locals and visitors looking for a good time.
Stéphane, the manager
Born in Australia, Stéphane arrived in France at the age of 15, having already enjoyed a rich cultural background. As an adult he took up his passion for cooking, a skill he had nurtured since birth and since living between France and his native country. After a particular experience with wine in Provence, he reconnected to his forgotten passion for beer, and craft beer at that. When he visited Cotignac, a village closely linked to his origins as a descendant of Jean Giono, Stéphane discovered The Tuf and its particularly lively, modern atmosphere. It was love at first sight, and he soon took over as manager in August 2023, bringing his expansive experience and wild creativity to this exceptional brewery.
