About the author :
Phoebe Wynne is the author of Madam and The Ruins. She worked in education for nearly a decade and taught Classics in the UK and English Language and Literature in Paris. She is both British and French, and currently lives in France.
Madam is a modern gothic novel set at an exclusive all girls’ boarding school perched on a craggy Scottish peninsula. A darkly feminist tale pitched against a haunting backdrop, and populated by an electrifying cast of heroines, Madam keeps its readers engrossed until the breathtaking explosive conclusion.
The Ruins is a suspenseful, contemporary Gothic coming-of-age tale set against the sun-soaked backdrop of the French Riviera. With riveting psychological complexity, The Ruins captures the tangled legacy of abuse, the glittering allure of the Mediterranean, and the dark shadows that wait beneath every surface.
Phoebe’s novels have received great acclaim and The Ruins has been sold for TV rights with a production company in LA.
