About the author :
Axel Graisely, born in 1962 in Toulon, is an author and book editor driven by a deep passion for travel and meeting new people. From a young age, he explored the Var massifs before travelling to distant lands such as Tibet, Bhutan, Yemen and Pakistan, notably taking the time to campaign for the independence of Tibet. These adventures led him to significant cultural figures, such as Sister Emmanuelle and the Dalai Lama. Baptised ‘Dogon’ under the name “Amagana” in recognition of his help towards the village of Mambori, he became closely linked to this Tibetan culture. In publishing, Axel created his own publishing house and joined forces with his friend LoBé to launch collections such as “Terre de légendes” and the comic strip “Axel et Alain”. As an author of unusual guides, children’s annuals and novels inspired by myths and legends, he is now a director of book collections at Prestance Diffusion. Now planning trips to New Zealand and to Santiago de Compostela, he has further ideas of climbing an 8,000-meter mountain peak.
